Mr. Gagan Kechira is an engineer with a Masters in Electrical Engineering & Renewable Energy Systems from University of Leeds, UK. Gagan has over 9 years of experience in the field of renewable energy and green buildings. He has been working at GRIHA Council for almost 4 years. Currently he is a Manager and looks after Business Development, Trainings and rating reviews for the Southern Zone.
Prior to joining GRIHA Council, he has worked as an Expert Consultant on behalf of European Union in the ‘PV Rooftop Cell’ set up at the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, Govt. of India.
His role involved analysing and providing solutions to specific issues related to the implementation of Solar Rooftop programme in the country. He has represented the Ministry at various State level workshops and conferences.
As a Project Engineer – Buildings Programme at the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India he provided assistance in the promotion and implementation of energy efficiency programmes in buildings including “Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) and the programme of energy efficiency in existing buildings”.
