Suchita is currently with DST, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India as a Scientist and is responsible for promoting scientific research and innovation in the country. She is a Chemical Engineer with experience in the field of Oil & Gas, Process Safety Management, Risk Analysis, R&D, Project Management etc.
The rich blend of experience in the field of Research & Industry enabled her to get a deep understanding of diverse sectors & integrating research with sustainable industrial output. Having international publications to her name, she also worked in field of environment & climate change.
Past acquaintance with MNCs/corporate and present role with Government at policy-making and implementation level helped her to recognize the linkages and inter-dependency these sectors have on each other. She has also executed multi-billion dollars EPC projects in Oil & gas sector in Russia, Gulf & other parts of the world.
Currently she is handling Government of India’s flagship schemes which targets towards building resilient infrastructure for research & development in the country. It makes a strong R&D Infrastructure, which is spread throughout the country available to the students, researchers, industries, start-ups, MSMEs etc. She also aids in providing technical trainings on high end sophisticated instruments so as to generate skilled workforce which resonates with Skill-India and AtamaNirbhar mission of Govt. of India and provides employable workforce for the industries.
Her work experience co-relates with Sustainable Development Goal No 9 where the objective is to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation. Present work profile is towards creating a robust Research & Development Infrastructure throughout the country with high end sophisticated instruments & make them available to students, MSMEs, start-ups, industries etc.
