Payel is a Senior Management Professional with over 15+ years of experience across Industries and is presently employed with Scanning Pens Ltd as Business Head for India.
She has worked with leading brands like Godrej & Boyce , VF Arvind Brands, Bata, Satya Paul, Tata Strive in various capacities. She has had a couple of ventures in the past in the Recruitment and F&B space which she has successfully exited. She is presently working on a couple of start-ups in Assistive Technology and Food Tech space .
On the academic front, she has a Masters in Lifesciences and a PhD in Management.
Payel sits on the Board of Global Inclusive Education Network ( International Executive Committee) and is a Member of Women’s Economic Forum and WICCI ( Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry). She is actively involved in the Private Equity & Venture Capital space in India as well as Globally and has expertise in taking businesses global and setting foot on new geographies and markets.
She is actively involved in volunteering for various causes specially in women empowerment and education and livelihood support for the under-privileged youth. She is a part of ICCL ( International Celebrity Cricket League) and PCCAI and involved in global Film Fests like We Care Film Fest and True Colors.
At present, she is serving as the Global President for Women Entrepreneurship and Empowerment, Global Council for the Promotion of International Trade & Confederation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
