As a is Strategic Advisor to the Director General, BADEA – Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa, She carries strategic management to support the DG for acceleration of the realizing BADEA 2030, a vision for a shared Prosperity, strategic pillars contributing in the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals and the AU- 2063 agenda by supporting regional economic integration, green, renewable energy, Environmental, social, and corporate governance, and development finance.
Ms. Fatima Elsheikh (Sudan), Ex-United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in the Republic of Djibouti.
Committed to UN core values in adopting and adapting an innovative approach in development planning, coordination and implementation. She more than 20 years of work experience in development in Africa, Asia, and the Arab world. Mrs. Elsheikh has outstanding experience in policy advisory services in areas related to poverty reduction, private sector, employment, and sustainable development. She has track record career achievements in setting up ecosystems for small and medium social enterprises to improve developing countries local services capabilities. She is currently UNDP Resident Representative in Djibouti. She is Global Award winner in Youth Employment and in sustainability projects respectively.
Fatima has served also as a Chief Technical Advisor for the Prime Minister office with UNDP Timor-Leste and Head of Poverty Reduction in UNDP Sudan.
Fatima holds a medical doctor degree from Ahfad University for Women in Sudan and a master’s degree in Genetic Epidemiology from Erasmus University, Netherlands, and a diploma on development policy advisory services from Columbia University.
