Serving as the Managing Director of Cordelia Marine Services, UAE, Capt. Karanjikar is renowned for his extensive expertise as a Maritime Consultant, G-20 Consultant, and President of the All India Maritime Pilot Association. His leadership is marked by a unique blend of aggressive, force-bearing strategies, balanced with deep compassion and empathy, which has made him a pivotal figure in the maritime sector.
With 18 years of sailing experience, including 7 years as a Master, and 5 years ashore in various capacities, Capt. Karanjikar has a profound understanding of the complexities of the shipping industry. He has spearheaded innovative business designs and driven operational excellence across fleets, contributing to the betterment of maritime practices and procedures.
His specialties lie in Maritime and logistics multimodal transport, supply chain excellence, and coastal shipping. As an expert in multimodal transport and surface logistics, particularly in South Asian waterways, Capt. Karanjikar has worked on diverse business modules and processes, implementing meaningful changes that have set new standards in the industry. His goal is to lead a company and establish well-thought-out maritime and transport standards, leveraging his expertise in effective leadership, command, and organizational skills.
In addition to his primary roles, Capt. Karanjikar serves as an Authorised Flag Inspector, ESG Auditor/Verifier, Certified Class Surveyor, ICS Chartered Ship Broker, Head of the Seafarers’ Rights Committee, and a Certified Marine Surveyor. He is a Professor of Practice and Maritime Warranty Surveyor (MWS), holding prestigious titles such as Sustainability Ambassador, Speaker, Metamorphic Leader, Change Agent, and Global Advisor for various initiatives. He is also the Founder of Martimechangemakers.org, a platform dedicated to advocating for seafarers’ rights, and the Global Advisor for REDIO (Rescuing Every Indian Overseas).
