Innovation-Technology Transfer Office (i-TTO) is a new set up since Match 2020 at Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), the pioneer technology transfer office at the Institute of Eminence -Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. FITT has played a pivotal role in the innovation ecosystem both at the institute and country level. it supports start ups through the 3 incubation units, FITT manages. i-TTO is supported by the National Biopharma Mission, a Govt of India & World Bank Project managed by BIRAC. Our main motto is to assist innovators, start ups, academic institutions and incubation centres with managing the intellectual property rights, technology transfer and offering advisory services. We offer end to end services in all sectors of intellectual property right from analytics, to filing to its examination and maintenance. We are not limited to any one particular technical domain, we work with technologies in all technical domains. We are domain agnostic.

We aim to support and strengthen the innovation ecosystem by ensuring that the processes are simplified. We manage the entire lifecycle of intellectual property to ensure that the clients are doing the things they are supposed to do, while we take care of their inventions. We are currently working with 40+ start ups, individual innovators, academic institutions and incubators. Besides these we are also working with various collaborators like CiMSME, Headstart, National Productivity Council, for different activities.

We are also contributing to the awareness level among the stakeholders on various aspects of intellectual property and technology transfer. So far, we have conducted more than 80+ webinars for start-ups and academic institutions. Another major initiative of ours is to showcase the innovations developed by different stakeholders, enabling the innovations to reach the market by providing the platform for showcasing, networking and finding the right partners. We are one of you, and understand the pain of start-ing up.

i-TTO contributes to the sustainable development by providing services to the important stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem, enabling them to effectively use the intellectual property system to create, protect and promote innovations. Even though SGD 9 is the core of our mission to support the innovation ecosystem by providing enabling platform for IP protection, we are indirectly also playing a role for SGD 2,3,6,7,8,11 and 13 as innovation is essential to achieve these SGDs. i-TTO facilitates effective management of IP which strengths the stakeholders with the ability to generate economically valuable IP assets. We also assist in leveraging new technologies by showcasing innovations, one of our initiative on COVID has showcased technologies to companies to ensure that these solutions reach the market. i-TTO has partnered with various organizations such as CiMSME to not only offer value added services but also enhance the awareness levels on intellectual property. We have independent of the partnerships, also conducted webinars on different aspects of innovation for the start ups. The most crucial and enabler for innovation is having the right framework at the organizational level. i-TTO is assisting its clients in IP policy development for their respective organizations.
