Forum for Innovation Incubation Research & Entrepreneurship

FiiRE (Forum for Innovation Incubation Research & Entrepreneurship) is established with the support of the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India under the National Initiative for Developing and Harnessing Innovations. FiiRE is housed at the Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda promoted by the Salesian Society, having an extensive reach in over 130 countries.

FiiRE supports early stage technology ventures which work towards innovation, development or improvement of products or processes or services with a scalable business model that solves a real pain, has global impact and provides value to customers. We are sector agnostic but have special interest in product development and manufacturing startups. We have a structured incubation process that helps startups build prototypes, connect to strategic mentors, early adopters and investors.

FiiRE offers incubation support, co-working space, testing laboratory, training halls and other facilities to it’s incubates and entrepreneurs. FiiRE through its structured incubation process, helps start-ups build prototypes, provides access to strategic mentors, early adopters and investors. FiiRE demonstrates how a consistentand well-curated facility fosters entrepreneurship with business mentoring, networking and decreases perceived risks during the early stages of starting up.

FiiRE has signed an MoU with the following agencies :-

• Goa Shipyard Ltd. for an industry specific acceleration program to assist and fund startups.
• Khadi and Village Industries Board to promote micro-enterprises in the state of Goa.
• Goa State Scheduled Tribes Development and Finance Corporation Ltd.
• Goa State Industries Association to identify, promote and support close collaboration and association between small and medium enterprises and start-ups.
• Empanelled agency for implementation of handicraft schemes.

OBJECTIVES

• Promote entrepreneurial specific environment
• Provide cost effective, value added services to startups and entrepreneurs
• Build a vibrant startup/entrepreneurial ecosystem by establishing a network between academia, financial institutions, research institutions and industry
• Support high potential SME sector and industry development
• Provide a platform for evaluation and speedy commercialisation of technologies
• Provide infrastructural, management and networking support to entrepreneurs
• Provide support to entrepreneurs in terms of consultation, business plan, growth acceleration, prototyping, office space, infrastructure, mentorship and seed funding.
• Create competitiveness in economy, generate jobs and wealth

FiiRE encourages it’s startups to adopt relevant SDGs into their business model. Our incubated startups are working in the areas of No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Health and Well Being, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Responsible Consumption and Production.

FiiRE is also working towards building strategic partnerships for implementation and promotion of the SDGs.
