Reema Sahni Mediratta

Ms. Sahni is working as a Project Manager IP and Tech-transfer at Innovation-Technology Transfer office. She is Masters in Life Sciences & holds Diploma in IPR from National Law University, Bangalore. She is an awardee of Women Scientist-C scholarship under KIRAN-IPR by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. She is a registered Patent Agent with Indian Patent Office and has experience of more than 8 years in the domain of Intellectual Property. She is actively involved in formulating IP & TT strategy of the client’s inventions and advising many SME’S, Startups and Individuals on securing, protecting, enforcing IP rights and helps them in commercialization of their technologies. She is actively involved in sensitizing students, faculty members, researchers & MSME about significance of Intellectual Property Rights & its commercialization at different platforms. She is working towards RTTP designation (Registered Technology Transfer Professional).

She is an awardee of Women Scientist-C scholarship under KIRAN-IPR by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and a registered Patent Agent. She has been awarded many scholarships while studying. She worked on DBT’s flagship programme School of International Biodesign and assisted inventors on evaluating their inventions and formulation of proper IP strategy and filing & maintenance of their IP. She is now working as a Project manager at Innovation-Technology Transfer Office, a new set up at FITT established last March 2020. In this short period of time from March till date, they have assisted in filing 4 patent applications, 2 technology transfers and 1 product evaluation. She is sensitizing researchers, students, faculty members and start-ups about significance of Intellectual property rights and technology transfers at multiple platforms. Innovation-Technology Transfer Office’s main mandate is to transform the way of tech-transfer is done in India. Apart from IP, tech-transfer & collaborations I successfully completed & implemented two projects ISO 27001:2013 (Information Security Management System) ISO 50001 (Energy Management System) in her earlier organization where she worked.
