Rama was VP Infosys, Delivery Head for Product Engineering unit and Development Center Head for Bangalore. Currently she heads Electronics City Industries Association (ELCIA) and Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA). She is also independent director on the board of Timken and Xchanging solutions and is an advisory board member of MSR management institutions. Rama brings in decades of engineering and system design experience. She has a strong R&D experience in Telecom and has worked in the areas of Core switching, Wireless and wire-line communications, Networking, Satellite communications, UHF, Microwave and Radio equipment development & deployment.
She has managed and grown accounts of the world’s leading business software providers and for blue chip telecommunication OEMs and service providers. All along, she has been responsible for building and nurturing some of Infosys’ best Delivery processes, Knowledge Management practices and Customer interfacing capabilities. It was under her leadership that Infosys – Nortel Offshore Development Center received award for outstanding quality and service. She has the ability to program manage complicated projects with multiple stakeholders and intricate business models.In her role as CEO, ELCIA she ensured that Govt declared Electronics City as Industrial Township Area, one of its kind in India. ELCITA is now self-governed local municipality. As a CEO of ELCITA, she has taken up the responsibility of taking electronics city to next level and improve the quality-of-life of people. Her focus is sustainable development of the industrial estate which involves all the municipal functions, smart city implementation, safety and traffic management.
She has worked for the cause of inclusivity for women and she on the anti-sexual harassment committees of Infosys, Biocon, Syngene, ELCITA, Amphenol, Yokogawa ….She is part of ELCIA trust which caters to 24 Govt schools in the areas of education, infrastructure, health care and mid-day meals.
