    Beth Howell has significant experience delivering strategic, operations, culture, sustainability, social responsibility, human resources, EEO/AA, talent, procurement, project management and general business solutions. Her specialty is building relationships either down the hall or around the world. Beth is a co-author on the SHERPA Sustainability Institute’s forthcoming UN Sustainable Development Goals Corporate Guidebook Series for SDG8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth.

    Beth worked at General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) from 2006 to 2017. Beth was appointed Employment Compliance Officer for GDLS’ US Global Operations in September 2015 with responsibility for all employment matters. Beth served on the General Dynamics Staffing Working Group (SWG). She led a multi-business unit team to create a Military Transition concept for the General Dynamics Portal. As part of the SWG, Beth supported planning corporation participation and managing vendor relationships at national level STEM/Diversity conferences such as BEYA, NSBE, SWE, and SHPE, among others.

    Prior to working at GDLS, Beth held progressive HR leadership roles at Waste Management. Beth has held the Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) designation since 2015; Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification since 2006; and, Certification in Continual Improvement for Social Responsibility (CISR) Expert effective 2021. She earned a BA in Psychology from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL, USA, and an MBA from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM, USA.

    Beth has held numerous leadership positions in a military spouse, human resources, and equal opportunity organizations, serving in roles that usually have relationship building, regeneration, outreach, STEM, and / or philanthropy as a focus.
